I need a date
I finally got something out of this whole internet dating, website thing (I mean other than all the lovely emails from strangers and the wonderful dates I’ve had so far). I’ve been given two tickets to an event called South End Style, it has been described to me as an event showcasing the art, food, drink, and fashion that is found in and around Boston’s South End neighborhood. The event is May 5 from 6:30 to 9:30 and will be held at the Boston Center for the Arts on Tremont Street.
So basically what I’m saying here is I need a date, preferably someone who will not be bored checking out all of these kinds of things, and I guess since this will be a date I would prefer him to be straight as well. I’m hoping this isn’t too much to ask. I’ll be honest with you, I’m really just going for the food and alcohol, so if you like food and alcohol that works too. Of course if I don’t get a date and end up having to take my cousin that would be pretty hilarious too!
Oh and one more thing, there is no added pressure, that being the day before my birthday and all (hint hint).

Tickets are $ 75 per person and will benefit several local charities. You can buy tickets by calling (617)375-8139 and if you use the promo code “weblog” when ordering you will receive a complimentary cocktail. Now don’t say I never did anything for you.
not to be confused with Boston’s “Southie Style” event which occurs every March 17th.
