I’ve been tagged

Filed under: Linnea Dates — linnea @ 8:51 pm

Apparently I’m a terd, but either way I’ve been tagged, I’m bored, and this is an easy way to actually get a post out so here goes…

1. I have 2 sisters and 3 brothers that range in age from 4 to 31, and all of them are adopted except me.

2. I was the first person in my extended family to graduate from college, and so far the only one to go on to pursue a graduate degree.

3. I’ve known three of my closest friends since grade school, and even though we don’t see each other as much as we would like, they’re still the first people I call when I need someone to talk to.

4. When I turned 18 my parents went away for two weeks so I got a tattoo and a tongue piercing, and then I talked funny the whole next week at my receptionist job.

5. I went skydiving for my 21st birthday, even though I am afraid of heights. It was one of the best experiences of my life, but I’m not sure if I would do it again.

UP Urban Prestige

Filed under: Linnea Dates — linnea @ 8:46 pm

Urban Prestige (UP) is a social networking site that focuses on professional and personal development, as well as relationships, and they asked me to write a sponsored post on their site. UP is geared towards professionals, and offers advice and networking opportunities for its members. The personal growth section of the site also offers advice, as well as articles on health and wellness, spirituality and inner growth, style, and commentary and trends on the world, all written by “experts.” The relationship section offers a search feature for dating/relationships, as well as a relationship blog by a trained psychologist.

Overall UP seems like a good idea. The design was relatively easy to navigate, and the information was relevant for those who are looking for it. It is convenient to have everything in one place, but I personally am a big believer in keeping personal and professional life separate, so I’m not sure if I would feel comfortable dating and networking on the same site.

I did find the WiseUP section a little bit beyond my grasp as well, but I’m not that spiritual to start with. The fitness component seemed well written, but there isn’t as much information in there as I expected. I’m assuming this is because the site seems to be just starting out. When I did my searches to see if there was anyone in Massachusetts to either date or network with my search was returned with no listings, it may just be that people fitting what I’m looking for in a relationship or my professional path aren’t signed up yet, but the info I used was pretty broad. Hopefully UP will build on what they have. It seems like it could be an easy way to get a lot done, and make some personal and professional connections.

No-nos

My list for what is not acceptable in a guy seems to be getting longer. For clarification purposes I am not interested in getting to know you if you 1. take style cues from any of the “Growing Up Gotti” boys or 2. do Civil War re-enactments (or any other kind of re-enactments for that matter)…don’t ask.

Punkystyle

Filed under: Linnea Dates — linnea @ 9:03 pm

I’ll be doing a brief stint over at Punkystyle while my cousin Punky is away on vacation for the week. Since she probably wouldn’t be happy if I made a post about the new trend of vagina-flashing, I think I might just post some pictures of our much less-stylish days. I’m sure bad fashion photos aren’t nearly as exciting to most of you as, say some good upskirt photos, but either way, you should check it out.

Keep trying buddy

Filed under: Linnea Dates — linnea @ 4:02 pm

How many times is this dude gonna email me with his cut and paste shtick? Who else is getting this one? Every time I read it I get that horrible “Secret Lovers” song stuck in my head.

Hi hun:

How are you doing this rainy Friday morning ? I find that mutual jealousy is a common problem in breaking up many relationships I always had. I had dated women of all walks of life and could not find a solution to this problem up until I started cheating on my partner with secrecy. I am therefore looking for a great friend and a secret lover with mutual confidentiality to forget and forgive jealousy realted problems which is so common in realtionships. I am a decent well educated handsome man who likes to have fun in life. I have a good size and a good endurance to make my lover to get fun sometimes more than once while making love. I am disease free, drug free clean man who is a very good lover and a great kisser.

As I experienced that having a secret lover and a great friend puts a smile on each others face by forgiving and forgetting the imperfections of a serious relationship, I don’t want to break my realtionships for jealousy related problems anymore as I tired of this dating game.. As my previous secret lover moved out of town, I am seeking a new woman to be my great friend and a secret lover. I am married for 11 years with a wife who cheats on me with her boss at work, perhaps, for job security and favors. Even then I am able to keep the marriage for my children.

Will you be interested to try out this approch to keep serious relationship for a long time?

Have a good day, sweet.

XOXOXOXO
