According to Yahoo News the Majority of U.S. women are living without a spouse. Good for us!

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying being single is always great, or living without wedded bliss is the most wonderful thing in the world. If you find the right person I think marriage is a great option, and congrats to my parents who just celebrated their 34th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday (yup, the 13th). Of course, I am saying that I am grateful that women no longer have to rely on a husband for their livelyhood, or that couples are now making the decision whether or not marriage is right for them. We’ve come a long way. I’ll take this opportunity to give another shout out to my parents who never once asked me when I was going to get married, settle down, or have children. Thanks for the support!
